Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.

Prolific young adult author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.

A representative for the publisher stated: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the move was taken subsequent to an review of reports of questionable actions involving young women.

The firm declined to specify the reasons for its decision, stating: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."

An Illustrious Literary Career

Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, boasting over more than 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.

A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.

His bibliography includes over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
